When did you first think of picking up this craft?
In 2008, after years in law, I took a break and joined a ceramics workshop. From the first touch, I fell in love with clay. My first exhibition in Zagreb was a success, inspiring me to embrace ceramics. In 2012, I completed formal training, marking my journey into clay and design.
What was the first object you made?
My first creation was a vase made from brown clay, featuring a movable lid and a wooden branch as a handle. Hand-shaped and with a natural texture, it embodied my fascination with organic forms and material contrasts, marking the beginning of my journey in this exploration.
What are your sources of inspiration?
I draw inspiration from nature, especially the sea. The rocky cliffs along the Adriatic captivate me with their diverse textures, from soft and delicate to raw, rough and sharp. These contrasts influence my work, shaping forms that reflect the organic beauty of the natural world.
How would you define what you do?
I strive for all objects to feel intentional and thoughtfully designed, creating an active dialogue between the observer and the environment. Every object is handcrafted and reflects a balance of geometry and sculptural expression, blending craftsmanship with pure artistry.
