Refined shirt making with a history
In 2015, Luca Avitabile founded his namesake atelier to carry forward his family's legacy of shirt making. Luca's father and grandparents have been crafting shirts since 1927 in Naples, a city known for its traditional classic menswear tailoring. Based in the central Via Toledo, the atelier ensures each shirt is carefully crafted, hand sewn and ironed. Each piece features buttons made of refined materials such as mother-of-pearl and horn.
Luca Avitabile welcomes clients to a cosy environment, where they are offered a truly bespoke experience. They are presented with different fabrics, in the finest varieties of cottons, linens, colours and patterns. After measurements are taken, and the fit of the shirt is devised, Luca sketches the patterns he seeks to bring to life. He later documents these patterns in a library that archives all the atelier's creations.
