Stories and emotions blooming into arrangements

  • Jamy creates fully bespoke floral designs
  • Her works are commissioned in Scotland, France, Austria and beyond
  • She is inspired by nature, art, fashion and unique colour combinations

Jamy Vissers discovered a natural talent and passion for flowers at the age of 12, which later grew into her flower design practice. With a focus on storytelling, she now combines artistry with exceptional attention to detail. “I am meticulous about my flowers being in perfect condition for an event,” Jamy says. “If the flowers do not open naturally, I carefully unfold them by hand until they look perfect. I flip all the roses I use so the petals really open up. Only the best blooms are part of the design,” she explains. Jamy sees flowers as more than decoration – everything, from the styling to the atmosphere, is completely customised. Her commitment to quality, client care and meaningful design tangibly blossom into unforgettable experiences. “I find it really important to translate not just my client’s visions, but also their emotions, personality and dreams," Jamy says.

What training did you receive?
I began my studies at 15 in a programme that focused on creative, technical and entrepreneurship skills. I learned art, colour theory, photography and economics. I discovered how flowers can be a powerful medium for storytelling and communication – far beyond simply training to be a florist.
What are your sources of inspiration?
Scotland's raw landscapes and rich culture have a special place in my heart, especially its beautiful castles and estates. I am inspired by travelling, nature, art, architecture, fashion and unexpected colour combinations. Each season's floral palettes, textures and tones keep me evolving creatively.
Does your work reflect your personality?
I am caring and detail-oriented. I love working closely with people and bringing their vision to life in creative, unexpected ways. My training as a social worker taught me to listen and connect with people deeply. These skills help me with every project.
What has been the nicest compliment for your work so far?
The best compliments are always emotional – when clients see the final result for the first time and are moved to tears. When they say the piece is even more beautiful than they imagined, I know I have truly captured their vision and made them feel something special.
