Celebrating the colours of Imari Nabeshima ware

Hataman Touen, founded by Mantarou Hataishi in 1926 under the name Wanyou Kiln, is a renowned Japanese ceramic atelier specialising in Imari Nabeshima ware. This is a 370-year old tradition known for its designs using red, yellow, and green enamels on blue or white ceramic backgrounds. Located in Okawachiyama, a village in Imari city famous for its "secret kilns" and exquisite porcelain, the atelier has evolved through generations. Ever since the fourth generation with Shinji Hataishi, Hataman Touen has expanded globally through exhibitions and collaborations.
