Garrido's story dates back to 1955, when Damián Garrido, at just 16 years old, embarked into silversmithing after learning the craft from renowned Spanish silversmiths such as Luis Espunes, Viuda de López, and José Mir. Over the years, the workshop's reputation and prestige consolidated, and in 1990, they began a new chapter with the addition of Juan and Paloma Garrido, the second generation of silversmiths. From its inception to this day, Garrido has remained true to its philosophy and founding principles: to offer distinctive design and exceptional quality.
Nowadays, Garrido enjoys recognition from international collectors and dealers. The works are featured in several private and public collections: Sir Elton John Collection, Ralf Lauren Collection, Museum of Arts and Design (New York), Excelente Foundation (Madrid), National Museum of Contemporary Engraving (Marbella), and Paidea Foundation. The atelier also enjoys sponsorship from the Spanish Royal Family, the Presidency of the Government of Spain, and the Vatican Papacy. Their works have received a unique reception in countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and across Asia.
