Causse

Three brothers Paul, Jules and Henri Causse, were cutters and glove makers by training. In 1892, they founded their company Causse in the town of Millau, the world capital of glove making. Over the decades, they passed down the precise gestures required for crafting gloves, from the delicate preparation of lambskin to stitching the leather. In 2012, after four generations of expert craftsmanship, Causse joined Chanel's Métiers d'art and UNESCO's prestigious list of Métiers Rares.

Today, Causse continues to share its precious know-how and preserve its heritage. With great dexterity, the team of expert craftspeople creates gloves for major fashion houses, as well as Causse's own timeless collections. More than a name in savoir-faire, Causse embodies a true philosophy, one where gesture, craft and time are treated as fundamental, enduring values. Since its founding in 1892, the manufacturer has modernised its techniques while honouring tradition by reviving old processes and using ancestral, inherited tools.
