These centrepieces by Silvia Furmanovich were crafted from hand fitted natural wood veneers using marquetry. The precise arrangement of the strips creates depth, texture and colour across the compositions, without the use of paint. Depicting night through an owl and moon, and day through a magpie and sun, the pieces use the circular form as a symbol for the celestial.
