These scissors by Shavkiddin Kamalov were handcrafted from iron using traditional forging techniques by the Kamalov family in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. Their curved beak design enables the precise trimming of raised goldwork embroidery, impossible with conventional scissors. Invented in 1965 by Master Sharif Kamalov, these bird-shaped utensils combine functionality with poetic form. They continue to be made exclusively by the Kamalov family.
