Natural dye, Limestone
This sculpture by Kavin Mehta was hand carved from a single block of white limestone. It was then repeatedly immersed in natural indigo to create a controlled gradation of colour. Drawing on architecture in its most elemental form, the piece presents a staircase as a journey without a fixed destination. The deepening dye serves as a metaphor for depth and inward reflection.
