Esposto in AN ATELIER ALIVE
Mother of pearl, Acrylic
This side table was designed by Studio Nada Debs and crafted by Abed Daaboul. Clear acrylic panels were assembled into an octagonal form. Each panel encapsulates hand-cut mother-of-pearl shapes, arranged into geometric star patterns. Revisiting a traditional form through a contemporary material, the work uses transparency both literally and metaphorically, to reveal the complexity of mother-of-pearl compositions, while expressing openness.
