Corn-Ear Orchids

This hand carved wooden sculpture combines orchid blooms and a corn ear in an upright spike. Ringed petals recall kernels, while long leaves rise above. Fine chisel work recreates plant textures beneath blue-green, purple, yellow and pink tones. The piece belongs to the series called Fruit.
