These sculptures by Noe Kuremoto were hand built from black stoneware and high fired. They were crafted as part of a daily practice, with one piece created each day. Inspired by the discipline of Japanese shodō calligraphy, the works approach clay as a meditative gesture. They suggest that an ideal can be reached through small, commited actions, rather than the pursuit of perfection.
