This sculpture by Sophie Aguilera Lester was hand built from stoneware as a vase with an integrated sculptural floral arrangement. Each botanical element was individually formed by hand and painted with coloured engobes. Inspired by classical still-life painting, the work celebrates ornament and abundance while reflecting on memory, impermanence and our enduring fascination with beauty.
