Meu céu, meu mar, meu lar

This beach parasol was embroidered by the association Maria Rita Caminhos Culturais, as part of the Linha do Mar project, imagined by designer Renato Imbroisi. It was decorated using both freehand embroidery and a mixed media tapestry technique combining patchwork and sewing. Crafted by local groups of artisans, the Linha do Mar project presents a collection of 25 sunshades celebrating the cultural and natural uniqueness of Brazilian coastal states. This piece originates from the country’s southern region, and its title translates to 'My sky, my sea, my home'.
