These vessels by Dina Nur Satti were coil built and burnished with a river stone to achieve a smooth surface. Inspired by the depiction of the Nubian god Apademek emerging from a lotus bloom in his temple in Sudan, the works evoke the flower’s upward movement as a metaphor for the path of self-discovery.
