This totem was designed by Gunjan Gupta and crafted by Cane Concept from cane and bamboo. Five hand woven stools, designed to nest precisely within one another, were assembled into an abstract female form. Conceived as a celebration of the feminine, the work explores ideas of gathering, strength and transformation. Individually, the elements function as stool, together, they form a monumental sculpture that celebrates the versatility of cane and the ingenuity of its makers.
