French artist Anna Le Corno brings wood marquetry into the world of watchmaking, combining the traditional technique with miniature sculpture to create intricate compositions on an exceptionally small scale. During the live demonstration at Homo Faber 2026, Anna will assemble a circular wood marquetry composition for a watch back under a microscope, before carving a bird in relief on a dial. Working at such a minute scale, she will offer an up-close view of the tools, precision and dexterity required to adapt wood marquetry to watchmaking.
