An introduction to cross-stone carving

Hambik offers both stone carving classes, as well as brief cross-stone khachkar introductions. Introductions comprise of conversations about the origin, development, meaning, and history of khachkars. Courses last about 3 hours, during which the guests themselves learn patterns with the stone sculptor and other masters of the studio. They provide tools, stone, assistance in design, and teach carving techniques. Participants will create and their own handcrafted carvings to take home with them.
