Venice is an enduring inspiration for artists and artisans the world over. This magical space takes inspiration from Venetian architecture to create a glittering aviary in the heart of the lagoon city. In the central glass cabinets sit remarkable pieces of jewellery in the form of birds and insects, made by independent jewellery makers and master artisans from world-renowned maisons. Around the walls, framed by illuminated mirrors that echo the nighttime reflections of Venice’s arched windows on water, are birds and insects created in porcelain, metal, glass, paper and more. It’s an ethereal tribute to the winged creatures that rely on another of nature’s elements – air – for life.
