The Greek art of soap making

Located on the island of Corfu, the Greek soap manufacturer Patounis offers private guided tours for groups. Its visitors will have the chance to discover the interior of the historic building where the factory has been operating since 1891. They will attend a presentation on traditional soap making, finding out about the different stages and raw ingredients involved. They can also observe the craftspeople and their precise gestures, handed down over the generations. Alternatively, the manufacture opens its doors every day, from Monday to Saturday at 12:00, for a similar tour. Admission is free and advance booking is recommended.
