Andain

This hand-woven fabric features an openwork off-white linen warp and a brown linen and leather weft. The leather, cut into strips, is interlaced by hand around the woven threads, forming sinuous lines that contrast with the strong vertical lines of the fabric. This rhythm evokes that of the windrows, the rows of grass, cereals or branches that the reaper leaves on the ground as his work progresses.
