Alverae

This wall piece is hand-woven using a double warp technique. The gold lurex contrasts with the natural matt linen, creating a shimmering pattern of delicate honeycombs. The work was then embroidered with gold threads to add thickness to certain lines, and with ochre linen threads to mattify and refine certain areas.
