Rhinoceros

The Rhinoceros is a ceramic piece measuring 60 cm in length. It was made entirely by hand, without moulding. The animal's horns, nails and eyes are gilded with fine gold. "While the representation of the animal is relatively realistic, the absence of colour makes the animal stylised. The choice of gold and white emphasises the expressiveness of the animal and its morphology," explains Catherine Azoulai.
