Berawa wall hanging

This piece is made by Ikram Maymouni from 100% natural and sustainable materials: cotton cord and hemp fibre in shades of white and brown. In the Berawa tapestry, we can see how the cotton ropes are intricately wrapped around the hemp ropes by the artisan to form different figures.
