This sculptural ceramic form was first shaped on a potter's wheel from faïence. Once the initial form was shaped, decorative strips were applied onto the surface of the sculpture before being fired at 980C. Metallic black enamel and red enamel were applied for the second firing 920C and finally gold enamel was applied by brush for a third firing at 680C.
