Romanus

This faïence vase, inspired by the form of classical Roman glass, was first shaped on a potter's wheel and then worked on by hand, giving it its final undulated form. The vase was first fired at 1000C and then decorated with a turquoise colour enamel before its second firing at 900C. Finally, the base of the vase was decorated with gold enamel before a third and final firing at 680C.
