Histriones Butterfly

This earth-coloured vessel is part of Kris Campo's "Histriones" series. The vase seems to be constructed from an amalgamation of different shaped classical vases. "Histriones" combines patterns, balance and colour but also movement and scenery. Scenery not only to be understood as decoration, but also to give meaning to the installation as a whole, in a same way as scenery in theatre sets the mood, content and interpretation of a play.
