Black Garden

Black Garden is a sculpture in its own right where a ring and its receptacle cohabit. The piece wants to bring another look on the jewel by giving it as much importance as its staging. Abandoning the use of precious stones, the jeweler mixed gold with damascus steel, the forging techniques of which he learned during his residency at the Kujoyama Villa in Kyoto. The whole piece was then polished. The metal was blackened with an elaborate patina made from green tea.
