Eye to Eye

This tapestry showcases the evil eye, with its numerous connotations. It is extensively present in Anatolian and Mediterranean cultures. The repeating eye motif, wrapped up in the warmest browns and an enchanting shade of orange, expresses a prayer for warding off Evil. The piece is woven with kilim knots in mixed fibres of wool and cotton.
