Drops

These hand-built ceramic sculptures, made from coloured porcelain, are part of Lea Mi Engholm's "Drops" series. The objects are made from liquid porcelain drops and combined while still malleable. The solid sculpture is then worked on to give it a smooth surface. Lea strives to show the immediate properties of clay and therefore usually uses no tools, only her hands and raw clay. The works are a visual expression of a physical process, of material and of time.
