Josephine

Josephine is a ceramic vase, part of Delphine Lescuyer's My Mates collection, an ironic nod to the expression 'trophy wife'. Each vase of this collection is made from recycled ceramics: decorated on its surface to transform it into an inspiring empowered woman's face, here as a tribute to Josephine Baker. Josephine's face and hair are from hand cut tiles of broken crockery and upcycled enamels, selected in a very sensitive approach to expression and details.
