El Codega

The design of this handcrafted glass brooch is inspired by the ancient figure of the traditional Codega lantern bearer who accompanied theatre customers during the night when public lighting did not exist in Venice. From this comes El Codega, a design jewel crafted from blown glass. Its plant like lines give life to a brooch designed to be lit like a precious lantern, one that symbolically illuminates and protects the path of the wearer.
