Saorsa

Saorsa is smaller than most of Zoe Wilson's other carvings. She does not often carve a ‘test' piece, but this idea was so complex that she couldn't quite think how it was going to translate into three-dimensions. This piece, carved from Portland limestone is called Saorsa, which is the Gaelic word for freedom. Zoe found the freedom to take more risks as the piece took a lot less time to create.
