World Oceans Day 2020

This coin, realised with the coining technique on a silver planchet, celebrates the World Oceans Day 2020. Oceans cover some two thirds of the earth's surface and they represent the basis of life. Water is depicted on the front of the coin: with stylised waves, the water laps the Three Towers (the symbol of San Marino Republic). They symbolise how essential water is – for the ecosystem and for human life.
