Silk bourette towel
This silk bourette towel is hand-dyed using the tie-dye technique. A gradient has been created from beige to pale rose hues. The silk used, bourette silk, also known as silk noil, is made of what's left after making spun silk. It is not shiny and a bit rougher than silk, it is a more humble material that Taller Silvestre love to work with. The tie-dye method is a very manual process: you have to be very present and attentive. The saturation of the colour is optically controlled in order to avoid ugly cuts in the colour transitions.
