Lavéc Soapstone Pot with Lid

This cooking pot, called lavéc, is carved from lathe-turned soapstone and bound in copper. Some lavécs are made from a single block of soapstone. Since no glazes or varnishes are used during the production process, when cooking, flavours are not altered by external agents, but rather enhanced.
