Soulcraft

This sculpture by Lefteris Karelis was shaped on a wood lathe before being hand carved to create its intricate openwork structure. The final form was refined to highlight the natural grain and spalting of the wood. Exploring the connection between inner strength and organic form, the work creates a harmonious dialogue of light, movement and balance.
