These sculptures by Marion Hawecker feature goose and ostrich feathers applied individually or in clusters over clay and textile bodies. The featherwork reinterprets the ancestral tradition of plumasserie to create unique textural effects. Questioning humanity’s place among living beings, the works evoke hybrid forms that blur the boundaries between bird and rock, lichen and human. They offer a poetic vision of adaptation, unity and the flowing dance of life.
