The World of Fungi

This sculpture by Natalia Abramishvili was hand built from stoneware, finished with glazes and oxides, and then high-fired in a reduction atmosphere. Inspired by fungi, which transform decay into the foundation of new growth, the work explores the coexistence of life and death. The expanding organic form embodies regeneration and nature’s continuous process of change.
