TWIN FLAMES

This table lamp, inspired by natural organic forms, is designed around a piece of mopani wood mounted on a metal base. The rattan frame, attached to the wood, is then covered in papier mâché. Twelve successive layers of hand torn paper are applied and glued down one by one, covering the structue with a uniform skin.
