This lidded Isichumo basket is formed in a tapered shape. It is coil-woven by hand using ilala palm over a grass-fibre core. The fibres are naturally dyed using indigo for dark tones, and sorghum leaves for reddish-brown, giving the object a decorative, undulating zigzag pattern.
