These vases by Julie & Jesse were slip cast from porcelain. The cloud-like glaze formations were obtained through a slow process of layering, heating and compressing oxides and minerals. Capturing the movement of glaze as it solidifies, the works strike a conversation about Chinese landscape motifs traditionally painted on vessels.
