Shape of Dusk

This sculpture by Joonyong Kim was blown from layers of coloured molten glass, turning rapidly on a pipe to expand the form. After cooling, a significant portion of the glass was carved away, and the surface was polished and refined. Hinting at modern architecture, the piece combines transparency, vibrancy and gravity-defiance.
