Ibuyambo

This piece is a self-portrait in which Abongile Sidzumo​ is dressed in traditional Xhosa garb and smoking a pipe. The portrait is offset by brown rolling hills and big blue skies, both created using patches sewn together with an industrial sewing machine and handsewn thread.
