Mani e Farfalle

Exhibited in AN INFINITE BIRDSONG

Glass, Decorative objects

This vase was designed by Fornasetti and crafted by Barbini Specchi Veneziani. It was blown from Murano glass and engraved. First imagined in 1940 by Piero Fornasetti as an ode to nature, the piece is reimagined for Homo Faber 2026 with an emphasis on its ethereal quality. The motif of hands and butterflies is emblematic of Fornasetti’s poetic and surreal language.
