Movement

This bowl is from the natural deformation collection. In this series, the wood is worked as soon as it is cut, while it is still damp. It is turned as thin and evenly as possible so that it does not split, but naturally warp as it dries. If a curve is imparted during turning, it is the wood itself that chooses its final shape.
