Nature's Breath

This vessel was made from a single block of wood, turned to achieve extremely thin walls and subsequently pierced entirely by hand. Through the piercing technique, the material is progressively lightened until it becomes an intricate network of solid and empty spaces, allowing light to pass through. The decorative pattern, developed freely during the making process, draws inspiration from the organic forms of nature and the geometries found in ornamental architecture.
