Jeff Zimmerman's Crumpled Vessel sculptures are formed through the convergence of intense heat, gravity, centrifugal force, and the measured pressure of traditional cork tools. The exteriors are composed of varying colours and radiant, mirror-like interiors that are generated by a silver-based chemical reaction that produces a reflective surface. Applied glass crystals add a unique character to each piece, enhancing the dramatic transformation of the material from its molten state into a sculptural form.
