These pieces are created from leather salvaged from the Metta Catharina, a ship that sank off the English coast in 1786 en route from St Petersburg to Italy with a cargo of Russia leather. The trunk has a Poplar wood carcass and is lined in Irish linen with solid brass hardware. The zipped document case is lined in calf and completely hand stitched.
