Resting in the Dust

This leopard tortoise mosaic celebrates the beauty of natural, earthy tones and quiet resilience. The tortoise itself is created from fused glass, different layers of glass that are carefully melted in the kiln, often multiple times, to build up the delicate textures of the scales on the legs and face, as well as each individual scute of the carapace.
